Himalayan Pet Supply started in 2003 with an idea born out of curiosity. Two brothers, Suman and Sujan Shrestha, their friend, Nishes Shrestha, and Kaos the dog discovered that dogs love Churpi; the traditional Nepalese cheese chew made for people of the Himalayas. 

The founders spent 4 years re-engineering the traditional ancient cheese recipe by removing the lactose and fat content; creating healthy, savoury long-lasting edible dog chews now known as The Himalayan Dog Chew.

From its humble beginnings at a small local pet fair in Bellingham, Washington to the award-winning company they are today, Himalayan Pet Company have led the pet industry in an innovative new direction with its original hard cheese chews.
